CA developed a park design and construction documents for a new recreational facility in the Town of North Hempstead, providing landscape architectural, arboriculture, engineering, and construction management services to develop a site plan addressing important site and community consideration.  The site plan preserved and highlighted natural amenities and site lines while manipulating the existing topography to create functional terraced areas.  The gentle and rolling grassed slopes enabled the park to be used for both active and passive play, while the two bioretention ponds provide functional, educational and aesthetic services.  Additional features in the new complex included a junior high school basketball court, handball court, a nature-inspired interpretive playground, walking and jogging trails, multi-use grass field, and pavilion and picnic area.
