CA provided Construction Management/Owner’s Representative services for the design/build Irish Hunger Memorial located in Battery Park City, NY. The team provided BPCA with necessary technical and administrative expertise to successfully complete all phases of the project including constructability reviews, scheduling, cost estimating and value engineering.  Services included attendance at all design meetings and performance of periodic constructability reviews of the design document submittals; provide inspection services in accordance with BPCA design and construction guidelines to manage and administer the project; review evaluate and comment on the Contractor’s detailed cost breakdown for the construction contract; review, monitor and update the schedule activities for each monthly CPM schedule update; maintain monthly status reports and logs for correspondence, shop drawings, non-conformance items, requests for information, change orders and as-built drawings.  CA observed the Contractor’s performance through-out the construction duration including mobilization, start-up of construction activities and closeout.  Close out activities included dispute resolution and claims avoidance activities, preparation of punchlist items after a final inspection walk-thru with the Owner, oversight of punchlist corrections, as-built drawing review and preparation of a final progress payment estimate.
